Is anyone doing "natural birth control"

Ok so I've recently done some research on the birth control I started taking and quite frankly there are some scary negative side effects. I was on the pill for years and now the depo shot. So, I'm considering completely coming off and going natural. I'm wondering if anyone else has done that and had success or if it's too risky?
