When to go to hospital with 2nd

This will be baby #2. The hospital said to come when contractions are 15-30 mins apart because 2nd time is faster, but that still seems crazy early... With my last one they started at 8 mins apart and I labored like that for 14 hours before they got to 5 mins apart and I could go in. What are your docs telling you? Might be moot for me anyway as they want to induce at 37/38 wks as baby is less than 10th percentile but curious to know what your docs are saying.

Well, my first labor was only 2.5 hours long so my midwife told me this time to call and come in as soon as I think I’m in labor.

I had a "silent" and quick first labour so my midwife told me to just call when I feel like it could be something. But it is more common to get a few more start and stops the second(+) time around. My midwife said to use the "bath tub" rule. If it slows down in the bath it probably is early/false labour but if it continues to pick up then it's probably the real deal.

I got induced with my first because she was small at 38 weeks. They put in cervadil  at day 1 at noon I didn’t deliver till the following day almost midnight .

Wow now I have to ask my doctor. I was just going to follow the same 5 minute rule they gave for the first one. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is my first pregnancy. My doctor said to go to the hospital when contractions are every 5 minutes for a hour.
