Electric stove in new house. Suggestions or tips?

I’ve only had gas stoves. I’m not happy to have to switch, but can’t buy new appliances for a little while. Anything I should be aware of? What are your experiences.

The burners take way longer to heat up, dont get as hot, and stay hot for longer when turned off. In other words, they suck, lol.

Where I live, electric stoves are more common than gas. Only 1 house (my current one) had gas compared to 3 other places I lived) They're actually considered safer than gas (even though I prefer gas). The glass top is durable, just obviously avoid anything that could shatter it (you'd have to be pretty forceful to do so).  And it takes slightly longer to cool down than gas, so keep kids away for a few mins after turning it off. Otherwise it's perfectly fine.

Ive used electric stoves until we bought this house which has gas. You have to be careful with cast iron pots if you use those but you should be fine. Theres a glasstop cleaner you can use to keep it looking really nice. But generally no probs. I find it easier to keep clean than my gas stove.

I’m the opposite I literally love everything electric and am dreading when we move that we will have any gas at all in the house
