Birth control?

Question

I’ve only ever been on the pill and it’s been about 8 years since I was on that. Talked to my doctor about the hormonal iud, copper iud and the implant. Wanting to hear pros and cons about them

I was on Mirena (hormonal IUD) for about 4 years before my husband and I were TTC. I plan to get another after baby is born.
Pros: 
-It’s hormonal, but not systemic like the pill, meaning the hormone stays in the uterus and doesn’t travel through your cardiovascular and other systems before reaching the reproductive system. This is why it doesn’t carry the risk of blood clots like the pill.
-After the first three months I had no periods or mild spotting.
-I never had to remember to take my pill.
-I didn’t have any weight gain or other symptoms commonly associated with the pill.
-It was super easy to have removed when we were ready to TTC.
Cons:
-Insertion was a little painful. Not terrible, just like really strong period cramps for a few hours.
-It took 5 cycles to conceive after removal. This may not have been from the IUD as I was 36 when we started TTC. I know 5 cycles isn’t a very long time, but at 36 “they” say after 6 failed cycles you should seek fertility testing... we got pretty close.
Sorry for the long response! Overall, I preferred the hormonal IUD to every other form of birth control that I’ve used over the years.
