NIPT/Harmony - worth the money?

Hey all! Due to previous genetic abnormalities in pregnancy my consultant has recommended the Harmony test to ease our minds this time round. It has to be done privately & costs around £500 though (UK obv) - we have the money set aside for home renovations before baby arrives and this is quite a chunk out of it (work is due to begin next week) so my question is - is it worth the money? Please share your experiences xo

I had it done in the uk. Paid £450. Completely worth the money if you can afford it

I’m shocked it’s so high. I had it done with my first and I was only 33 and it was only 100$.

If you’ve had a history of abnormalities I think it’s worth it. I had it done (first pregnancy) yesterday and it helped ease my mind. If my insurance didn’t cover it, would’ve been $950 out of pocket. I still would’ve done it.

I think it is. But my insurance covered mine because I'm over 35. I would have paid out of pocket of I had to for the peace of mind. I wanted to know if there was anything we needed to prepare ourselves for before he gets here.
