FET timing?

Question

I’m worried about having to travel for work on a day that would be ideal for transfer. 
I tried to find info on when I should expect transfer to take place in a cycle - can anyone tell me?

Is there any flexibility on when you do the transfer? What are they looking for?
I’m traveling literally on days 16-18. 
My doctor says fet transfer usually is 16/17 provided you start meds on day 2. What if we started meds later?

It all depends. Are you doing a fresh or frozen transfer? Fresh transfer happens 3-5 days after egg retrieval depending on if you’re doing a 3 day embryo transfer or a 5 day blast transfer. If doing frozen transfer they try to catch your natural ovulation with your next period after retrieval and transfer a few days after you ovulate. If already have frozen embryos, then they just monitor you starting around CD 9/10 to catch ovulation and transfer happens few days after ovulation(this is for natural unmedicated cycle). For a medicated frozen transfer, they monitor you a lot closer to catch ovulation and then transfer.

My transfer was on CD 24. I have seen most people says theirs have been between CD 21-24.

My doc requires (though they have no way to monitor) that you have no travel planned during them cycle.      I had to sign a note saying I would not travel out of the local area.
