I don't wear shoes in the house period. I find them very unclean and don't want everything that was outside all over my floors.

As a european person wearing shoes inside is so weird to me. I dont understand why you would do that. Its so unsanitary and uncomfortable as well.

Well, I'm born and raised in Texas..so we pretty much always have our boots on during the day, seems like. But I do also have a home daycare so I vacuum the carpets every night before bed and mop the tile/hardwood in the house. I walk around barefoot during the day, so nobody tracks anything into the house until my husband gets home from work. But yes, it's fairly common for us to just walk right into our own home with our boots still on, unless they're very very dirty

To piggy back off OP, do you let your baby crawl around on the floor where shoes have been, like in someone else's house?

I thought that was just a odd thing they did in American tv-series 🤷🏻‍♀️ don’t you have a hallway where you come in the house and take off your shoes and jacket??

Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like wearing shoes in the house is purely an American thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m Canadian and when I visit my family in the States I always find it so odd. If my daughter or husband run in to grab something without taking their shoes off, they leave foot prints everywhere!! How do people live like that?! Lol

Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't 🤷🏻‍♀️ it depends on my mood. But we don't take them off simply due to having babies/children. Dirt is the least of our concern. We're more than okay with germs in our home. It builds immune systems.
