PCOS?!?!

Just went and saw my doctor and he believes I have PCOS. Husband and I are trying to have a baby. Did any of you diagnosed with this have problems conceiving? How long did it take you?

I have PCOS and conceived my daughter after 10 days of being on the provera pill after about 14 months ttc to bring my period on. good luck!! she is now 2 years old and we're trying for baby #2.

I was diagnosed with pcos on 9/2 my ob prescribed provera for 10 days got my af on 9/10 a day before my last provera pill... I finished my af on the 15 and he now prescribed clomid from cycle 5-9 right now I'm in my second day of clomid and praying for a miracle..... What options did your dr gave you?

Once mine was diagnosed, I took  metformin for a month, was pregnant the next. This go round it has taken longer, 9 months, but we are 12 weeks pregnant now.

I had lots of problems. My period would either last for 6 months or I wouldn't have a period for 6 months. I either had to be on progesterone to start my period or BC to stop me period. I couldn't find anything that helped and I really didn't want to have to resort to Clomid or Metformin so I looked for some natural vitamins that would help. I took vitex and maca root and geritol and got pregnant within 3 months. It was awesome! I know it won't work for everyone but it worked for me. Hope things go well for you.

Pcos causes infertility. It is possible to get pregnant, but it can often be difficult. There are a lot of medications and research going on to help treat Pcos. There's a whole section on here for TTC with PCOS, also there are some pretty good pages on Facebook that has a ton of information.
