Why? Why would I risk it? Why would I take something that hasn’t sufficiently been researched by any medical professional because it’s been deemed to be an unethical concept for a study? It’s only 9 months, I can wait, I feel like if you can’t, you problem have some issues to sort out before you ever decide to reproduce.

Newest studies show that some women have a Small serving of alcohol during pregnancy (even late in pregnancy) and still end up with a baby on the fas spectrum, while others drink a lot and they don’t.  They can’t figure out why some end up on the fas spectrum while others do not.  It’s not worth the risk to me.  Some don’t even realize their child has it, ends up being an minor speech delay or adhd type behavior.  It took my cousin’s son until he was 5 to get diagnosed FAS and she just had an occasional glass of wine.

I didn’t drink at all while pregnant 
I have had 3 miscarriages and while I was pregnant they thought my daughter had some issues with her heart
Drinking wasn’t important to me

I had a couple small sips.  I know its fine to have a random glass but not worth it to me. Even my dr told me to when she knew I was stressed!  People will balk at you then pop Tyenol daily, and inject themselves w flu shot and tdap even though the insert itself says it hasnt been tested on pregnant women and to ONLY get if absolutely necessary. Chugging a bottle of brominated vegetable oil for their glucose test. 🙄
