I feel so selfish

I feel like a bad needy girlfriend. I’ve been dating this guy for three years. He used to compliment me a lot and ask me to hang out and tell me things he loved about me and it all just stopped like a year ago. Once in a blue moon he will tell me something nice but idek. Is it bad that I wish he would compliment me all the time?
