No. At two months, they still need to be fed throughout the night unless they are sleeping through the night on their own.
Sleep training, especially any crying methods, shouldn't be done until at least 6 months. Before 6 months, babies literally are incapable of self soothing and some babies take even longer to be able to do it. 
I don't do sleep training with my kids. I believe they will sleep through when they are ready.

Formal sleep training, absolutely not. But you should have been promoting and teaching good sleep habits from the get-go. That's the simplest and quickest way to teach a baby how to sleep. We had our daughter sleeping through the night by 5 weeks and putting herself to sleep by 3 months. She's now about to be 2 years old and we still actively promote nothing but good, healthy sleep habits in our home.

I don't see why not. My daughter is almost 8 weeks and is an amazing sleeper and is definitely capable of calming herself down. She just recently found her hands and has been occasionally bringing them to her mouth and calming down. When I lay my daughter down she's usually awake. If she cries I don't run to her. I let her cry for a minute or so then I go in and give her the pacifier. She usually spits it out after a minute or two. At first she will cry almost immediately after spitting it out, then after doing this back and forth a few times she starts to cry less and less after spitting it out. Eventually she will spit it out and not cry at all. This is usually a 30 min process for bedtime.
