The opposite of nesting??

Question

Anyone else experiencing the exact opposite of nesting? I’m too depressed to even think about cleaning or organizing. I had to take all of the baby stuff and shove it in a room and close the door because I can’t even handle looking at it right now. I am going to be so unprepared to bring a baby home😣

I was, but I talked to my doctor and got on meds. I hadn't realized how depressed I was until the meds started working. I cried because it was so eye opening and I couldn't believe I went that long without treatment. 
Meds aren't for everyone, and nesting isn't a given even if you aren't depressed, but if you're finding it to be too overwhelming, I highly suggest getting help sooner rather than later. I experienced this last time and didn't catch it, post partum was a horrible time for me as a result. Good luck, momma, I hope it gets better ❤️

Yup. I go back and forth. Mostly I just feel like UGGGHHHHHH I cant even do anything. And then it suddenly hits me OH CRAP IM REALLY CLOSE TO MY DUE DATE. And I quick do a bunch to prepare. And then I get back into a funk.

Dealing with the baby stuff is the last thing I want to do right now! I think my mind is just trying to focus on all of the other things I planned on getting done this year that probably won’t happen now.  My sister is throwing us a diaper party next weekend and our house is still full of unfinished projects... not looking forward to having all of these people here.

I get that! This is my second so between working and coming home to take care of a toddler I have no motivation. I’m waiting on my sister for my nephew’s boy clothes and still don’t have clothes except a few I got from coworkers. I basically only have the car seat and pack n play half way set up. I’ve been trying to pack my hospital bag for two weekends and haven’t gotten anywhere. I’m also just uncomfortable and get contractions whenever I move a lot or bend over. So it’s getting harder to do a lot of stuff. It will come together though and it will all work out!

I’m lucky I have my mom because I have zero nesting instinct so far!! She has washed all of baby’s clothes and disinfected all of the products. I’m sure glad she is excited to be a grandma because I have zero energy!!
