Clomid - no follicles on CD 12 - hope?

Question

Has anyone had their follicles grow later with Clomid?
On CD 12 I didn’t not have any follicles above 11mm. My estrogen was at 54 which is the highest it’s been during a treatment cycle. 
Is there any hope or is this a bust?
I have more discharge/CM than usual today, wondering if my estrogen is going up?

I’m not sure where you are at in your cycle other than being CD 12... but I have had 4 cycles with clomid and out of the 4, I had 2 times where I did not ovulate and doctor did “stair stepping” approach within that same cycle, which is another round of clomid within same cycle which made me ovulate. Obviously, it prolonged by cycle making it much longer but I did end of ovulating both times when stair stepping was applied. Although clomid did help me to ovulate and follicles at the right size, I did not get pregnant. I am currently starting my 1st round of letrozole. Hoping this will work. If not doctor says to move on to injectables. I was reading up on Letrozole and seemed to help more with PCOS patients.. best of luck!
