Best Co-sleeper?!

My family will be moving and traveling for a couple of weeks.. I thought a cosleeper would be nice for our 2 month old. I’ve been eyeing the docatot but want to be sure it’s the best choice before purchasing.

Your best bet is probably to get a pack and play or portable bassinet. Just make sure it is actually labeled a bassinet or playpen/play yard and not a sleeper or napper. Bassinet is a protected term, a company cannot call something a bassinet or playpen/play yard unless it adheres to safe sleep standards. Sleeper, napper etc arent protected terms and companies can label a product as a sleeper or co sleeper even if they aren't safe for sleep.
A baby nest like the Dock A Tot isn't safe for sleep, despite what the company says. The soft sides pose a risk for suffocation. It should only be used as a lounger for when you are awake to monitor baby. Remember, they are trying to sell a product, a product that "helps your baby sleep " is going to make them more money than something that is only marketed for when baby is awake. 
If you plan to cosleep it's actually safer to co sleep without the nest. Just make sure you remove all pillows, blankets and loose sheets from the bed first, make sure the mattress is firm, dont drink or use drugs that alter your level of consciousness or alertness and make sure your partner knows baby is in the bed.
Just because a product is available doesn't mean it's safe unfortunately. For example, the rock n play sleeper that was recalled last week was an extremely popular sleeper. It was recalled because it was responsible for the deaths of at least 32 babies and was not safe for sleep, even if used properly. It took 8 years and 32 deaths and many more injuries before the company recalled the product.

I got this one at my baby shower and we love it! We have used it some at night when it wasn't a good night for her bassinet by the bed and during the day so she could nap next to me while I rested or slept while I was on leave. We took it with us when we went to visit my parents because it is collapsable and portable. I would recommend it for short term use.It was the best gift I got that I didn't ask for or was expecting.

I know they all say not to use the dock a tot and all of the risks. But, we use it as a cosleeper and my LO loves it. It’s the only way I can get him to sleep.

Be careful, the dockatot is not safe for sleep. Babies have suffocated and died sleeping in devices like them

The problem with a doc-a-tot is it is basically surrounded by a pillow. Babies can suffocate or their oxygen levels can drop due to the CO2 if they get their faces against the side. 
A pack and play would be the safest place for your baby.
