Sinus infection who do I call?

Question

I think I have a sinus infection should I call my obgyn or go to urgent care? I don't have a primary doctor.
I thought it was a cold but it has progressively gotten so bad. My whole face hurts. I can't stop crying and cannot sleep it is so painful.
My obgyn told me a week ago in my appointment to take tylenol, benadryl, and mucinex. It had only gotten worse.

I work for an OBGYN and personally my office will not prescribe antibiotics in pregnancy because they don’t look at your sinus and throat and all that, they unfortunately can’t diagnose you so they can’t treat you, I would go to an urgent care if you can!! It may be different in your office, I would call them first before you waste a trip!

Go to a walk-in clinic if you don’t have a GP, or see your OBG. Urgent care isn’t really the place for you if it’s just a sinus infection.

Most sinus infections are viral, not bacterial, so antibiotics wont work. It doesn't hurt getting checked by your doctor though. I get a few sinus infections a year with lots of pressure. I use mucinex and a plain saline spray to keep things moisturized and moving in there. Try a warm compress over the bridge of your nose/ eyes/ cheeks to help relieve the pressure feeling
