Do I need an infant insert for the MamaRoo? My LO is 10 lbs. 11 oz. and 21.75 inches long. He’s just over two months old, adjusted age is 36 days.

We use it but he looks like outgrowing it already- 9 lb range and 21-22 inches. So you’d probably be ok without it but I like that it keeps his head in place.

When we bring brought baby home at 6 pounds he was a little too little but now he’s about 8 pounds and I think he’s fine without. We do strap him in to prevent sliding.

My 8 pound newborn was using it just fine.  Sometimes I roll a burp cloth to keep his head from going right due to torticollis.

My son still uses his newborn insert but he’s not even 8lbs yet at 6 weeks old. I say at 10lbs baby shouldn’t need it. I use Ellie ears by his head to keep his head up.
