Painful Sex issues

So I went to my doctor and found out why I have been having painful intercoirse. It's because I have vaginal stenosis and I'm having surgery to correct this issue. Anyone else have this issue or dealt with something similar? Usually they have to just do this with women that have had kids but I'm different since I haven't had a baby.
