Clomid with progesterone 3dpo?

This is my second cycle on clomid 50mg and I talked the dr. Into giving me progesterone suppositories this time to start 3dpo. Will this lengthen my luteal phase (I was normally having a 10 day luteal phase)? What should I expect? Has this worked for anyone? I want a bfp sooooo bad this month!

I used Clomid days 3-5 and progesterone suppositories 3 days post ovulation. I became pregnant on cycle 2 with twins! 😬🤞. I always had a pretty regular cycle and normal length LP. On the cycles I did not become pregnant on progesterone, I took progesterone for 6 months prior to starting Clomid, my LP was extended. My period would usually come 1-3 days late and my LP that was normally 13-14 days, became 15-16 days. I began testing at DPO 12 & 13 and stopping progesterone with bfn. Still period would come late. So for you this could be a good thing! Good luck!!
