My (soon to be ex) husband left me and my two sons over four years ago. He was very cold and critical of me but took care of everything. I married straight out of high school and never been on my own. Our entire marriage, I was a homemaker and never held a full time job or went to college. So you can imagine my personal and financial challenges all this time.

I've just now petitioned to file for divorce and I'm scared of the backlash when he sees what I'm asking for (maintenance, child support, etc.) But I love my children and will fight for their welfare. I just wanted to vent I am also afraid...
