Special Needs Question

~B

I have a question. I’ve been debating on this for awhile. My daughter was evaluated in NYS when she was 5. At that time I was told she has ADHD, Development Disorder, and was socially handicapped (very outgoing but she doesn’t know how to socialize she’s been in therapy for five years now and has made huge progress). I was told then that if she hadn’t been so outgoing they would have told me she was autistic. It wasn’t until here recently that I found through research that children can engage and be social and still be on the spectrum. So that brings me to my current dilemma. Should I seek a second opinion and have her evaluated again? I’m leaning towards yes so that her educators are better able to meet and understand her needs. But I’m not sure. Thanks ladies for any advice!!!
