c section scars (is it normal!?)

hi everyone, my c section scar gets really itchy and it still hurts when I knock it on something. I had my son 23rd of April, I had dissolvable stitches and 2 regular stitches that got removed 4 days after. I don't know whether or not it's normal to look/feel the way it does. Could you please post a photo of yours so I can compare? Thank you

My mom got a hysterectomy 15 years ago and she said the area still itches her! It's definitely normal and I heard it can take up to a year for the pain to go away

You've healed beautifully, but there may be some nerve damage. If its a constant problem I'd see your OB.

Normal. Mine is 9 yrs old and still itches at times and is sensitive.

I have a c section scar. my son was born in 2008 and mine is still sensitive. and if I bend or twist a certain way, it feels like it's tearing. yeah. they are no fun.

It is TOTALLY normal for a scar from a major surgery to hurt for a long time. Even a few years.

It's normal. I had one last year with my surrogate baby and it still itches. Also, there hair regrowth so that will cause it to itch.

I don't have a c-section scar but I do have a 2 year old scar on my hip from a painful surgery. It itches ALOT and I almost hit the floor if I hit it wrong on something.

My daughter is six and it still itching and it hurt something to its total normal.

Yours looks normal. I put vitamin E oil on it, and used coconut oil as well on it and my tummy. I had mine 6 years ago. I remember it being itchy for a while, and hard. Then the red faded to white after some time. I do not recall how long, maybe a year. My skin hung a little over it and then it kind of all went into place. It was tender then it went numb, and now maybe I'm just use to it. It also shrunk and is just a small white line. Looks like a thin white marker line. Best way to describe it is like a white tattoo line. I'm proud of my scar.
