So my friend (my actual friend, really, not me) recently started seeing this guy who has facial hair i.e, beard/mustache. I see her the other day and she has this huge red welt on her chin! I mean I would never say it to her but it was nasty! She had sensitive, acne prone skin, so I was wondering if it was a bad ingrown pimple or something like that. But she tells me it's beard burn from making out with her new man. The only thing I could think was that my boyfriend also has quite a beard and I have NEVER experienced this phenomenon or even heard of it happening to other people. And I have very similar skin to her (sensitive, prone to breakouts). Just out of curiosity, has anyone else heard of or experienced this so-called "beard burn" or "stache rash?" Do you have a clue as to how it happens? Did you treat it, and if so, how?
