Pelvic exam at 6 week check up?

Did anyone else not get a pelvic exam at their 6 week checkup? Mine was almost three weeks ago and they only asked questions regarding ppd and had the nexplanon placed. I started my first pp period today and feel like I cannot insert a tampon correctly. I went through four tampons and 20 minutes later I’ve given up. With my first I had a pelvic exam but i was due for my Pap smear so I just figured this time around it wasn’t necessary but I’m wondering if my dr just kinda forgot. It was the same dr with my first and this baby.
