It’s spring! What to dress a newborn in?!

I had 2 winter babies, so this is my first baby I’m having in warm weather?! I’m totally lost and overwhelmed. What do you dress a newborn in when it’s warm? I live in ohio, I’m scheduled for my c section on the 20th of May. So I’m assuming weather will be in the 70s. Give or take. Right now it’s that weird jacket weather in the morning but sweaty weather by afternoon. 
Do you dress the newborn in long sleeves and hats and pants and socks if it’s 70+ degrees out? Or would a onesie and shorts/night gown suffice? I’m really freaking out about the weather and how to dress my baby lol. I need help! At this rate I’ll never have a hospital bag packed 🤦‍♀️

Rule of thumb I’ve always heard is add a layer on top of what your wearing

I 2nd what someone else said - think of what you are comfortable in at the time, then add 1 more layer for baby. I think you will just know day to day moment to moment if your baby feels hot or cold to the touch. I feel like a lot of people over dress babies in hats, socks, coats, blankets because they think they're supposed to or because it looks better to society. But then you pick that bundled baby up and they're burning up and I'm like omg all I want to do is undress this person's baby a little. People might make comments like "doesn't he/she need a hat on outside?" Or whatever but mom knows best. I had 2 winter babies as well. This is definitely a weird time of year for weather in my state. I'm looking forward to having my first naked summer baby out on a blanket in the yard in a diaper 🙂 I've only ever had these super bundled up babies.

I had a winter baby for my first and have been thinking about the same thing! I’m honestly just going to stick with a short sleeve onsie and pants and depending on if it’s windy or if the house seems cold from the AC, I’ll use a blanket or I’ll add socks and stuff.

I always do the sleepers at home and Onesies and normally wrapped up in a blanket since I don’t take the baby out in public right away and when it’s time then I do the cute outfits

My first son was born in late March and I had ALOT of people get mad if I didn’t have pants, jacket and socks on him in April/May. But my son would get SO hot. I would usually have him in a onesie or romper type outfit and bring a blanket and extra layers in case we needed it as long as the temp said it was going to be okay.

I had a winter baby too and in Illinois so this time around I packed 
3 thinner long sleeve footed And unfooted pjs (dress like)
2 long sleeve basic onesies
3 short sleeve basic onesies
1 hat ( hospital usually gives you one anyways) 
Outfit wise
A bow, socks, bib for each outfit
2 image onesies 
2 Pants
1 romper
2 light receiving blankets
1 heavier blanket incase its cold
2 light sweatshirts
Photo outfit because my hospital has a photographer come in the next day for pictures for purchase.

I live in a state close to Ohio. The weather is pretty much the same here. My baby is being induced on May 3rd. I also have 2 toddlers who are spring babies, one end of April and my son end  of May. What I'm packing this time is similar to what I did the last 2 times, since the weather here is unpredictable and can range from around 60 to 80 during May. I usually take a thin swaddle to cover them in, I pack 1 short sleeve onesie, 1 thin long sleeve one, and 1 thin long sleeve sleeper, that way I just have an option for any temp during this transition phase of weather

I live in a similar weather area. I packed a thin footed sleeper, long sleeve onesie, pants, socks, short sleeve onesie, hand covers, - all in both size newborn and size 0-3. As well as two receiving blankets and a thin little hat just in case it’s randomly rainy and chilly. If it’s super duper chilly, I can layer the long sleeve and pants and socks under the 0-3 month footed sleeper for a double layer. And use both receiving blankets to cover him until we get home. 
If it’s really warm, I’ll probably stick to short sleeve onesie, pants, socks, and I’ll probably put the hat on his head still. Idk... maybe not. Hard to say! But at least I’ll have it all!

I live in Ohio too! The weather is unpredictable I packed a short sleeve outfit and long sleeve just Incase and some lighter and heavier blankets because you never know 😂

I had a July baby in Ohio, the air was always on. He was either just in a diaper or in a short sleeve onsie with a light blanket swaddle. You'll be able to tell if they're too cold or not.
