What are your thoughts about the Rock ‘N Play getting recalled

I think it's a little ridiculous because the infant deaths resulted from not following instructions and not an actual defect on the product as far as I'm aware.

I think people are expecting it to be a nanny for their baby, which it’s not. As with any “baby” product, you need to be supervising the little one while they use it.

They made the right choice. There were infants under 3 months old that died due to positional asphyxiation. So obviously the product should have been marketed as a lounger like they do in Canada. Not a sleeper. I know so many moms that used it for their infant to sleep at night and through out the day and the doctors even recommended it. It’s unsafe. Now if someone wants to use one after the fact then go ahead. I’d just hope they’re monitoring their little one.

It literally says on the box that it's not for sleeping. The seating angle is pretty damn clear too so of people used their brains and didn't try to put their children to sleep in it for extended periods of time/as they slept it wouldn't have been an issue...

My son slept in that for about 5 months. He loved it and it helped me greatly.  He's sleeping in his crib now...

It's about damn time 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'd never purchase something like this for our children. Swings included. They're dangerous and far from necessary. Not to mention they start horrible sleep habits.
