Foods for an 8m old with NO teeth?.

Trying to figure out what foods I can give my 8m old son besides baby food. We give him like mashed potatoes, bananas, rice and eggs. What else would we be able to give him?

Babies chew with their gums, they don’t need teeth to eat solid foods. You can give him anything but honey or choking hazards like whole nuts.

Teeth are irrelevant. If you're eating it, he can as well. We started solids at 6 months and never once did any sort of puree/baby food with our daughter. She's always had actual solid foods.

Their gums are pretty solid. My daughter was eating scrambled eggs, banana, soft fruits, and cereal (actual cereal, like weetabix, or porridge... not the baby stuff), when she was 6 months, which is before she got her teeth.

My baby didn’t have any teeth until around 10 months and he ate everything we ate. We just watched very closely. Their gums are incredibly strong and effective at breaking down food. :)
