1.5 year old always refuses lunch

So my 1.5 year old son has this thing where he loves breakfast, wants snacks a lot, usually loves dinner, but for some reason lunch is the one thing ever day that is suuuuch a struggle. My husband is the one at home with him everyday and he’s always telling me allll these things he tries to give him and he straight up refuses them (even the foods he loves), throws them on the floor, only takes a few bites, etc. he doesn’t do this when I’m home on the weekends though and I’m eating lunch with him. Could it be because my husband doesn’t sit down and eat too? Is this a normal thing for kids to have certain meal times they hate? I’ve tried buying so many different foods for him and he’ll eat almost all the things at any time of the day except lunch. I have no idea what to do and neither does my husband and it drives him nuts!
