Provera and heavy perido

Ok ladies I took provera and my period started 3 days after taking it all well my period started Monday and it's Thursday and it's been heavy since day one so heavy I have to change my tampon every 35 mins and wear pads with tamps...and my cramps are so bad I have bad trapped gas I have been eating healthy so I'm not sure why I'm so gassy and trapped I feel so sick my Dr said it's normal cuz I haven't had a period in like a year also I have so many blood clots anybody else have bad heavy periods after taking provera
