Got pregnant the first cycle I tried, this is what I did

Bree • Bao's mommy!

Back in December of last year I decided I was going to have a baby, I had my nexplanon taken out on December 12th and started taking prenatals before then because my doctor said it helps with not only fertility but if order to get the full benefits of taking prenatals while pregnant you need to start taking them before you become pregnant.

So I did BBT (temping) I took my temperature every morning as soon as I woke up before I moved, if you wait even 5 minutes after you wake up it's not accurate anymore. **This actually ended up being my first clue that I was pregnant**

2nd I started taking OPKs daily in December before my period ever came back from having my birth control removed, I tracked it daily. When I got my period back in January I decided I would try in February, February was a textbook month which really was helpful!

In February I started eating a fertility friendly diet, I read about a doctor who tells his IVF patients to eat flax seeds, avacado, walnuts, and eggs daily, he said that most of his patients end up pregnant naturally in 3 months. Im not sure if this helped at all but alas I still ended up pregnant.

Another thing, I did start getting prenatal chiropractic Care in February also, this is another one I'm not sure if it helped or not but who knows, I still ended up pregnant.

The week of my ovulation was insane, we we're having sex probably 2 or 3 times a day, I had completely cut out beef and drinking alcohol and was in general treating myself as if I were already pregnant. So I wasn't taking diet pills or anything you shouldn't take while pregnant. Heck I wasn't even drinking coffee.

I also used preseed the correct way, I inserted it and then waited 15 minutes to have sex.

Before I started trying I had lost about 20 pounds.

Anyways it was kind of surreal that I ended up getting pregnant the first month I tried I definitely didn't expect to, but also my husband is insanely wishy-washy so I put all my ducks in a row and tried every possible thing to aid in my fertility because I did not want him changing his mind lol

Tools I used:

Cheap ($10) thermometer that has 2 decimal places

A pack of Amazon OPKs (40 OPKs and 10 pregnancy tests for less than $15)

Clear blue advanced digital OPKs those ended up being amazing

First response early response pregnancy tests (my first faint positive was read at approx. 9dpo, but I considered it a negative because of how faint it was)

Preseed ($30 I believe?? It might have been $20??? I don't even remember)

I'm now 10 weeks 5 days pregnant with a healthy baby!!

Anyways, I just want everyone else to get as lucky as I did. Idk how it happened so quickly but I'm so freaking excited it did! If you have any questions about using the tools that I used lemme know!

Good luck ladies and baby dust to all of us!!
