How would you pronounce the name Deborah?

Please answer honestly.

I showed my husband something on here a few minutes ago and he read it out loud and pronounced it “D’bor-ah”. I laughed because I thought it was common knowledge that that’s not how you pronounce it. But he got offended. He said that Spanish people might say it that way (please note English his first and pretty much only language, but he does know a little Spanish). To be fair: he grew up in an inner city where I doubt this name was very common.

I am specifically interested in those who speak Spanish fluently or as a first language - how would you pronounce this name?
