Head cold?

Ugh I think I'm getting a head cold...haven't been sick for a really long time and now of course that I'm expecting our rainbow I'm getting sick, sore throat and now stuffy nose. I'm 5w2d today...has anyone else been sick while pregnant? Is it bad to be sick this early in pregnancy?

I got a cold at 5 weeks as well. There is really no risk to baby as long as you are not running a temperature. It’s a little miserable since you are limited on medication to help with symptoms but make sure you drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as possible. If you start running a temperature make sure to use Tylenol to control it. Hope you feel better soon!

I caught a weird cold when I first found out I was pregnant. I use homeopathics, so I believe I kept it at minimum. It was gone in a week or less.

Here is the list of approved meds from my OBGYN. I actually had strep and a sinus infection before I found out I was pregnant and had a ten day course of amoxicillin.

Not a doctor but I think this is common. I read that growing a baby kinda Jack's your immune system so you're more susceptible to things like colds and flu.

I have now started both of my pregnancy’s with a head cold. I’m being to feel this is normal 😂

Your immune system is not as strong when pregnant. With my first I caught just about everything. It sucked because there is very little you can take.
