After testing positive, how soon can you expect your first appointment with your doctor?

Mine just called yesterday and had an opening on the 13th, I’ll be about 8 weeks by then ☺️

My first appointment is in 2 weeks. I'll be 8w2d at that point. I struggled to find a place that had an opening within my first trimester. The first doctor I called wanted to wait until early June. I was appalled. I refused to wait 2 months for a doctor's appointment. I wouldn't be able to without going crazy not knowing what's going on inside me. Don't be afraid to call around for a doctor.

Between 8-10 weeks is the norm. I’ve personally never had a pregnancy confirmed by a doctor or midwife, in my experience they just consider home tests accurate enough and schedule the first appointment. This time my first appointment was at 9 weeks.
