Does it looks ok?

Question

I got my rook and orbital conch pierced on the same day. It didn’t hurt but after a week, my rook is starting to give me some problems. It hurts like hell and the area looks very irritated, inflamed and it’s quite sensitive. 
I never had problems with the others one after a week so that’s why I’m wondering if it looks ok? If it’s healing well?? I don’t think there’s sign of infection but I’m not sure. Moreover, I think my piercing might be small since I can’t see the bar anymore with the inflammation, again, not sure. 
I’ve been cleaning it 2 times a day with antibacterial soap and warm water. 3 times a day with sterile saline water. My piercer told me to use topical vitamin E to help with hypertrophic bump, which I used on the others one before but I haven’t used on this one.

First, the bar does appear too short, you could go back and get it replaced if it’s concerning you or the swelling is becoming too much. And if they expect you to pay to get it replaced, I’d go somewhere else, the piercer really shouldn’t have used a bar that short which is no fault of yours, it’s purely only theirs. Second, never heal a piercing using anti-bacterial soaps, sprays or creams, even if it’s one you get from the piercing shop. It destroys all bacteria, including the good, healing bacterial properties and increases risk of infection. It’s a common mistake as it seems fitting to use anti-bacterial things. 
All they need is no touching and saline (spray or solution) cleans a couple of times per day. The only time you should ever use anything anti-bacterial is if you already have an infection. I wouldn’t take the bar out because if it is infected (rather than just irritated), it can drain. If you took it out, the skin would heal over quickly and the infection gets trapped inside. If it does start feeling more infected than irritated (you would know better than anyone else as you’ll feel the difference), that’s when I’d start using the anti-bacterial stuff, maybe even antibiotic cream from the GP.

is it a straight barbell? what material is the jewelry? it is possible that you are drying it out by washing it so much.

You should take them both out they are really swollen and if your not careful you could get cauliflower ear where the swelling never goes its common in rugby players but if you get piercings and you leave it when it’s that swollen it can never go down. X

the rook barbell looks too short. i’d go back and get.m a bigger one before it gets worse. 
also i’d go get a straight barbell for your conch. it’s never a good idea to have hoops in new piercings m, but especially not your conch. you’re gonna get a gnarly bump.
