I wouldn't get too concerned about the weight on the ultrasound. They are really inaccurate this late in pregnancy.

Big is not a reason to deliver early. Baby still needs to develop lungs, etc. My OB refuses to induce or c section before 39 weeks for that reason. My big boy was estimated 8lbs 10 oz at 35.5 weeks...we've got big boys, you and I! My hubby is a big guy though and our ultrasound shows little man is daddy's clone. We have a c section scheduled at exactly 39 weeks...only 20 days to go...unless little man comes early of his own accord.

My dr said they are not allowed to induce until 39 weeks unless it is due to health reasons (GD, preeclampsia etc) . You can always ask your dr to strip your membranes at 38 weeks (which is now considered term as opposed to 37 weeks) if your body is ready it will help you go into labor 🤷🏼‍♀️

My first measure 8lbs 8oz at 35 weeks. She was born on her due date at 9lbs 11oz. So the ultrasound definitely isn't accurate, but baby will come when it's ready. It's annoying having to wait but you got this!

My boy is huge too! Hopefully scans are inaccurate, but no they won’t deliver early. There’s no reason to be afraid. I’m having a natural birth with my boy and I’m not afraid! Not one bit.
