I don’t have kids, but I’m a babysitter. I’ve pretty much always gone through care.com or my mom’s friends. I know a lot of people don’t trust care.com, but I think it’s a great resource! You can chat with the sitters before meeting them, you can set up an interview and even do trial play dates to make sure they mesh well with your kids. It’s all in your control. I’ve always been successful in getting jobs because I’m first aid and cpr certified and also in culinary school an parents love knowing not only can they trust me in an emergency, but I can also cook for them if need be lol. I suppose it could depend where you live though. And what rate you want to accept.

I always find them on care.com and interview them first and I’ve also found a great one that cares for my baby at the gym. She offered and she’s wonderful. I don’t have family to help us! That would be lovely haha
