Implantation bleeding or period

Hey so me and my boyfriend are inactive. The week i was ovulating he came and fingered me, he said he hand didn’t have anything on it and he was positive. My period was due yesterday(according to this app) and I’ve been getting cramps for the past two days. Today i got my period, or i thought it was? Its normally very heavy and this time it is really light. The top of the tampon was barely covered when i took it out like 2 hours later. Any thoughts?
