I have no idea what to expect.. ANNUAL CHECK & PAPSMEAR

So.i called my Dr bc I haven't had my period in 3 months but I'm NOT pregnant been (truing for almost a year)and I'm NOT in any type of BC and they just schudle an app for an annual cheeck and will be doing a papsmear. Would they be able to tell me what's going on. And why haven't I gotten pregnant? Or no ? I'm sorry this may be dumb question
