First month TTC

My husband and I did genetic testing because my cousin passed away from cystic fibrosis at 21 after having a double lung transplant at 9 years old. We both watched him slowly die over a few years and it was beyond torturous and we could never watch our child go through that. We decided if we were both carriers, we would not have biological children. I tested positive as a cystic fibrosis carrier and he tested negative. My test was done before his because it's expensive so when I tested positive, we were heart broken at the thought of not having our own children. My test took three nail-biting weeks to process and we got the bad news while on our belated honeymoon in Hawaii in August. We returned and my husband went for testing. After two tense weeks, we got results the last week if August and he's not a carrier.
