When to tell your boss?

Need some advice mommas! I’m currently 7 weeks. I’m a nurse, but my job is non clinical and I’m at a desk the entire time. When is a good time to tell my boss? I’m showing a little, but I’ve been wearing flowy tops! However, the nausea has kicked in and I’m afraid frequent runs to the bathroom are in my future🤮

I considered telling today, I’m 7w and 1d only .. but I just feel like complete garbage & want to request working from home. I decided to wait it out, though. I don’t want the first time I say “I’m pregnant” to be to someone I don’t really care about. That’s silly, I know.. but I want it to be special. Hoping my body cooperates!

I told mine yesterday. 7 weeks.  Frequent trips to the bathroom did it for me I had to let them know.

I waited until 16 weeks last pregnancy... and I only told them Bc I needed someone to switch a room with me (I work in the ER and it was a meningitis room). I’ll prob wait til as close to 20 weeks as possible again this time... or until the flu hits us again and I’ll need folks to cover the flu positive rooms for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I ended up telling my boss last week, mainly because I am going on a business trip out of state with him next week. I wanted him to know before that, just in case something were to happen. I also told him because I’m super sick all day and he was probably wondering why haha

I told mine very early for scheduling purposes bonus if anything did happen she was aware and able to help. When I started spotting and had to leave immediately she covered my shift and even offered to drive me.

I'm 7 weeks 4 days and I've been putting off telling my boss because I've had some easy weeks. I'm a visual merchandiser in retail so my job can be physically demanding. But since I've had easy weeks I'm hoping to make it to 8-9 weeks just because i had a miscarriage at 8 weeks last time.

I let my boss know ahead of my parents, our schedule is very difficult and if i do have a miscarriage she'll very likely need to know.  Funny, about 25% of our nurses are pregnant or recently on maternity leave, so i told her the hospital water got to me.

I have a desk job but I have appointments booked on working days so I might have to tell.
