What are you ladies doing with your hair!

Before I got pregnant I had highlights and now the grow out is so badddddd I know I can’t bleach while pregnant but what have you girls done to still feel confident? Hair styles? Safe dying alternatives?

You can highlight still. With bleach they don’t touch your scalp so it’s actually better.

Stylist here 🙋🏻‍♀️ just as another stylist mentioned above, you can absolutely get your hair done still. Just make sure the place is properly ventilated and you’ll be fine! If you already have lots of grow out, maybe have your stylist transition you to more of a balayage look. Less maintenance and less time in the salon 👌🏼

Oh I’ve had my hair bleached during both pregnancies and in a few weeks I’m getting it bleached for highlights. Ask you doctor to see what they think about it

You can get your hair done at a salon. Just let them know your pregnant. They’ll stay away from your scalp and they will watch the processing time  closer as sometimes when your pregnant your hormones mess with how your hair takes the colour. I did it and baby is fine. Plus it’s sooo nice to be pampered a little.

I have been paranoid even though my partner is a hairdresser...i dont want to do highlights. So instead im using one of those temporary root sprays 😭

I’ve had highlights done through all my pregnancies plus I’m a hairstylist and work with lightener a lot. Highlights are perfectly safe as they don’t touch your scalp at all, it all stays in the foil. Go to a salon, that is licensed and they will have codes to follow for proper ventilation. 
If you’re uncomfortable with lightener still, you can get a no ammonia Demi permanent colour to cover close to your natural hair colour. Again I suggest doing it at a properly licensed salon as their rules make it the safest. Good luck! 
Also, dry shampoo - it tends to lighten up around your regrowth area as it’s white powder so that can help blend a bit too.

I’m dying mine dark here in a couple weeks (I’m a natural blonde) I needed a change. But mostly just wear it up and either straighten or curl my ponytail. My son likes hair too much to leave it down and this way it stays out of my face
