What pad brands do you use after giving birth

Question

Was told always pads tags on the threads in case one is sewn after a tear. What pads do you ladies use after giving birth? 
Haven't used disposable pads in 3+ years but after giving birth, don't want to use my cloth pads until I get the energy to wash them immediately which I doubt will be possible the first week.  I need advice on what disposables are there that are good. Preferably natural, safe.

The first week, I wore depends adult diapers. Much more comfy and absorbent than a pad!

I used the ultra thin Always (Radiant, I think) pads that had the max absorbency. They were great and I didn’t feel like I was wearing a diaper.

My midwife actually recommended cloth pads (after the initial heavy bleeding) to prevent skin irritations (I have terribly sensitive skin) 
For the first week pp I used Always maxipads the bulky purple kind. The bulkier they are/the closer they sit to your skin the less likely they are to leak. But the less breathable they are. So it’s a balance. I also used adult diapers but tbh I used a pad inside the diaper half the time with the diaper as “leak protection” 🤷🏼‍♀️ because I didn’t want to change the diaper every two hours (too expensive). 
The stitches for your incision are actually internal and if done properly there shouldn’t be anything to “catch/tug” on the adhesive of your pad. 
Make sure your pad has wings and this should prevent. 
Also, my tip. Put the pad in backwards. The part that you’d usually put at the back, put to the front. At least in my case even though for periods I usually leaked out the back at night, postpartum all the gushing fluid was flowing more toward the front. Although I’m sure everyone is different. That’s what I did

I used Always discreet underwear until I felt comfortable enough to use my cloth pads again. I had stitches and had no issues with the diapers. It was super nice and easy to stick an ice pack in there.

The softest ones I’ve found are stayfree maxi pads. They feel almost like cloth and never stick. Just be gentle taking them off, but these are def my favorite.
