Participation trophy?

Yesterday for Easter we did an egg hunt at our friends house. We hid over 100 eggs. I put some in twos and she asked why I was putting some in twos I said because my youngest will follow his brother and he will be able to "find" some instead of fighting over 1 egg.

She made the comment " you're that mom that will give them participation trophies arent you ?!"

I said no id just rather them not fight and just enjoy the moment.

My youngest is 1 1/2 . If they were inside and in a small area I would of spread them out a little more like I did at home but we were in a brand new area we never been to and outside 🤷‍♀️
