Did metformin help you ovulate?

Question

TTC, 31 with PCOS. 1000 mg/day extended release metformin. I'm on day 18 of metformin, CD46 and no ovulation.
Did metformin help you ladies ovulate or regulate your cycles? Or did you need clomid or something else?

I was on just met for over a year having regular periods with no ovulation tho. :( I just started with letezrole and second month in got positive ovulation blood work confirmed :)

I’ve been on it since the beginning of April idk for sure if I ovulated as I didn’t track temp but my body showed signs of ovulation earlier then expected waiting for af now

I used letrozole and metformin to create the egg and trigger to ovulate. Worked on our second iui.

I was on metformin for over a year and it didn't help at all, for some women it just doesn't. It all depends on why you're not ovulating, if it's due to insulin resistance then the medication helps.. if not then it can have little to no effect :/
