Is it bad?

I'm 18 and so is my SO. We were middle and high school sweethearts and he is honestly the love of my life and I could really never see myself with anyone else. We have been having sex for almost a year now and I've been on BC for a few months and that's when we stopped wearing a condom and he started finishing inside of me. I'm in college and I feel as if we are both very responsible adults who are ready to begin our futures together as soon as possible. Now onto my questions. Is it bad that we wanna be married and have a baby like soon? I know for a fact that he's my life partner and I want more than anything to start a family with him. I am very close to my mother but I don't really feel like speaking with her about this because I'm sure it will end up in a huge argument. Just looking for some motherly advice. Thanks in advance ladies!

I highly suggest waiting to get married and make babies until after you graduate college. I was engaged in college, and it was super stressful trying to focus on classes while planning our wedding. Having a baby would be even harder while attending classes! Most girls I knew who got pregnant during college took a semester or year off to focus on their baby, and they never came back. 
Also, if you know you both want to be together forever, and you're already committed to each other, marriage is just a piece of paper. Not being married won't keep y'all from being together, so focus on having fun without being married right now!

My husband and I are high school sweet hearts. We got engaged a year after we graduated high school and got married a year after that. If you know he's the one then go for it!

Wait. Hun.  Your so young.  18 man if I could go back to that age. I'd do some much over and not do a lot of what I did. Smh I'm a mother so believe me when I say WAIT. I know 21 25 seems so far away from now but its really not ok. If u are really in love then wait. For both the baby and the marriage. Live life without worry or serious responsibility as long as possible.  Being married is So great it is and being a mother is THE most amazing feel ever. But with due time ok.

My husband and I got married on our 2nd anniversary. I was 19 and he was 20, we just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary, its been a blissful and wonderful adventure! Being married that young and in school actually made it easier to pay for school, and build our credit!

That being said, talk to him about your hopes goals, wants and dreams. If you can talk to a financial planner and figure out what goals you have financially. If it sounds like you want about the same things and are close in your timing for things go for it. If not continue dating and revisit the discussion 6 or so months from now.

Only you know your situation 100% but I say to live it up before you comit to complete adultness (marriage and kids) and enjoy your time. It will all come when it comes and it will be magical but until then enjoy the stage you're at. Once you comit to adulthood you can't take it back. At least not until the kids are grown in 18 years.

You do what you feel is right.  If you're ready to start a family then go for it.  Many people now days don't wait to have kids after they are married.  I'm not married and I'm expecting and due in May.  My  SO  and I are happy so that's all that matters

I got married at 18 been married for 7 years together for 10 having baby number 2 any day or other little girl will be 5 in October if your both sure your right for each other get married as for a baby if you both want one now go for it we both wanted one right then two but every one told us to wait 5 years so we tried made it 1 and a half be for saying lets have one lol but I'm glad we had that time just is in out own place

I would recommend finishing college. I have a degree and am a registered nurse and I'm still worried to take a few years to raise my kids and then try to get back into the field. Can't imagine doing that without a degree or having to still be in undergrad with a baby. I know it's possible and I would have survived, but it's not something I chose for myself because I knew I wouldn't excel at either. You may be different. But really know what you're getting into. And just a thought...if you can't talk to your mother about your desire to get married and have a baby, what will you do when you get engaged or pregnant? Just really think things through. I've been with my husband since I was 16 we got pregnant at 18 with our son I delivered him at 19. We're now 21 married a year and a half ago and are TTC #2. We've both always been very mature. I love being young parents and being married so young. It defiantly is harder at times but it's worth it. It all depends on the 2 of you.
