Sex after baby?

So I'm almost 5 weeks post partum and I'm dying to have sex I want to wait the full 6 weeks to be in the safe side but how is sex after you have a baby can I just jump right into the same things I was doing or should I start out slow? Will it hurt? Just a little worried

We waited until 7 weeks. I have found post baby I need lube pretty much every time now, it did hurt some and we went slow but never had any issues.

We had sex 4 weeks pp with the 1st and 3 weeks pp with the second. I had super easy deliveries with no tearing. Obviously it's better to wait though for risk of infection. As far as it hurting, I didnt have an issue. Our sex life is the same
