How long for milk to dry up?

Question

I stopped breastfeeding my daughter almost 3 months ago after 6 months of ebf. I still have milk and haven't yet gotten a full period, just a day or 2 of spotting a few times. 
Is this normal? I feel like it's been while and things should be getting back to normal by now.

I'm not sure if it's normal but I think everyone is different.  My period came back at 4 months PP and I continued breastfeeding until my daughter was 21 months. We slowly weaned and I did one nursing session a day for a month before I stopped. I didn't even feel any swelling and I think my milk was gone like 2 weeks later. If you suddenly stopped after nursing all day, it might take longer. If you're really worried, see your doctor.
