Preclampsia??

I am being tested for preclampsia... What was your BP during the time you got diagnosed with it.. & how long were you monitored? I'll be 34 weeks by time my results come back and I was told they take babies that early.. So I'm a little worried.

I was tested for it today. My urine and blood came back normal for now. My blood pressure has been on the higher side of normal my whole pregnancy, but has been creeping around 140/80 something since Friday. I have 2 doctors appointments a week now including ultrasounds. I had to get a steroid injection today and again in the morning. It’s scary hearing all the possible risks of having to deliver early. We’re also anticipating another 9+ lb baby like my first, so it’s highly unlikely I’ll be making it to my due date now. I hope your labs come back normal and all goes well with your pregnancy! I know this is crazy stressful.

They delivered my twins at 34 weeks because of preeclampsia. I was diagnosed and hospitalized at 33 weeks. I normally have low blood pressure so it was 180/100. They worked me up in the triage area and admitted me. They started me on magnesium and gave me steroid shots for the babies. They weren’t able to control my blood pressure anymore so they took me in for an emergency c-section. One spent a week in the NICU and the other 2 weeks.

I was just diagnosed this week (33weeks). I am having Nonstress tests and ultrasounds twice a week and lots of blood work weekly. As of now they are trying to hold off until 37 weeks for c-section, but if it gets higher or (150/90s now) they will admit me.

I don’t have preeclampsia but I have hypertension and they have tested my pee the 24 hour test twice now just to make sure I don’t get preeclampsia but if you don’t progress into preeclampsia they shouldn’t take the baby out earlier than 37 weeks. I’m being induced for my high bp and it’s not even that high at 37 weeks
