Can you drink caffeine free lemon herbal tea while pregnant?

Do you drink lemon herbal tea while pregnant? It’s caffeine free but still not sure about other ingredients.

I was told no on herbal teas because they are not regulated by the FDA for the medicinal effects they have on the body. There are herbs, plants, and roots that are in teas that are known to cause contractions, for example. So the concern is more because of that and not because of the caffiene. Lots of women drink tea through their whole pregnancy though. We all pick and choose. I went without the tea. Talk to your doc and ask their opinion and then decide what's best for you!

My doctor told me I could drink herbal tea when I was sick but i was told to avoid teas that have hibiscus. Which took a majority of teas off as an option for me. I ended up just doing warm lemon water with a splash of honey.

You shouldn’t consume more than 12 oz a day of caffeine. I know some herbal teas are no no’s. Does your OB have a website?
