A little naive...

How do you know for sure if you have PCOS? Besides symptoms can doctors actually diagnose it through certain tests? I’m 5’5” 210 lbs. Does being overweight cause PCOS or vice-versa? My cycles are regular since being off the pill but are 36 days, still a little long. I don’t know if I have PCOS, but I wonder. Last time I saw my gyno she said being overweight will probably cause at least some hormonal imbalances. We only TTC two months when I was ovulating (positive OPKs) and didn’t get pregnant, I know thats not very long at ALL and not a sure sign of fertility problems until that happens for months/years but now I’m taking a step back to try and lose weight. I’m not super knowledgeable on the topic of possible PCOS! My gyno said if I try for months and don’t get pregnant, she’ll put me on metformin. I should also mention my blood sugar is fine... I’m going to try some natural supplements first. Like I said, I might not even have PCOS but still taking some steps to get my body more in balance. Thoughts?
