Circumcise or not?

Question

I left the choice up to my husband because I didn’t want to be the one to make it. It’s been a few days and I have developed some of my own views and am now feeling against it. 
My husband just told me that he is deciding to do it. I am now feeling emotional and would like some help from you. 
Scientific articles for circumcising or against it to help either me come to terms with mutilating my baby or to help convince my husband he is making the wrong choice. Anything on how many male babies are done (like of all babies how many get it done)

I mean you would never cut any part of a little girl, so why cut a baby boy. There is no difference.

First of all it's not mutilation. I used to have that same opinion. I fought my husband to keep our baby uncircumcised and I won. Unfortunately, my son was born with a rare condition and needed to have one performed. Once a baby is a few months old the procedure becomes much more complicated. It becomes a surgery. It requires full anesthesia and stitches. We circumcised our other boys right away just in case they had the same issue. There is no right or wrong, but please stop calling it mutilation. It is a hard enough decision without that kind of judgement.

To your husband. And now you don’t like his decision. No parenting choice is decided by one parent, it’s choosing together. Bigger lesson here then the choice of extra skin on a penis.

We didn’t do it cause there’s no reason to. He’s 2 now and has never had problems.. If it would’ve been medically necessary then yeah. I don’t care about ‘omg he’ll be so embarrassed when he’s older and bullied’ First off, no one should be seeing his penis anyways so wtf ? Lol maybe in high school? Idk if guys do change in front of each other like naked. I know girls never got naked lol.... 
Seriously though, there was no reason for us to cut something that is natural to the body.

I mean.. you said it yourself... you’re mutilating your baby if you choose to. I would definitely do your research. It is so unnecessary and extra pain after the baby just went through a traumatic experience being born!

In the UK we dont do it unless its an absolutely important medical reason. Also maybe religious but it's very unheard of I didn't even know it was still practiced until i got glow. All those Scots men running around with foreskins and never had a problem 🤔👌

We didn't circumcise our baby. There is no hard confirming science of anything either direction, and the majority of people I asked only circumcised their sons "because their dad is" or "so they don't get made fun of." In the U.S. it is seen as s cosmetic surgery (aka not always covered by insurance). At first I didn't care either but I did research and started caring and was emotional about it as well. So I feel you. Haha. And on a side note, I never realized how much people (mainly other moms) care about this topic until we chose not to. It's crazy.
